9/28/03 Steve being the true bottle
addict he is, got out this weekend. Believe me, if I wasn't needed at work, I
would be right there with him. Hopefully he was thinking of me while he
was digging up all those juicy bottles! I was waiting for his results. He
emailed me this:
Hey Dave,
I went to
Kenosha today to dig.My tree job got cancelled so I went about 8:00 I found
two pits on the 1883 house. I ended up with 2 Indian sagwa's(with embossed
Indian), 1 Pabst blob Kenosha branch, 1 certain cure for rheumatism, 1 broken
soda (1870's) with the words "miner... Bernds & Mass..." and I
could not find the rest of the bottle! The guy across the alley came out and I
asked him if I could dig. He said o.k. I found a pit on the alley, a 6 footer
I was hoping for older, tuned out to be about 2' wide and about 4' long. ended
up with 1 Dr foords pectoral syrup,1 round bottom Ross's Belfast soda,1
Allen's lung balsam,1 amber beer from Toledo,and 1 Rustad 7 Waterman druggist
Kenosha. I also ended up with the usual bunk.I had one crier! An amber"
