9/6/03    I was busy working at the glass factory this weekend. It was killing me not being able to dig. This is only the second dig I have missed since April! Steve emailed me with his results for the weekend dig. He was digging a property where a local brewer had housed his race horses. I always find the digs are a little more interesting when you know some of the history of the property. He said the pit was from the late 1890's. There was a lot of broken stuff and junky stuff. The best bottles where an applied crown Miller Brewing and E. Klinkert Brewing, and an amber quart Chapin and Gore Whiskey. He didn't send any pics, his camera isn't working. So, I will substitute a photo from a previous dig. Notice the dialog. This is very typical of how it usually goes. Steve also emailed the plans for Sunday's dig. I am excited to get back out and the place he lined up is in a productive area.
